Try out this home made jalebi

Ingredients

  • 2 cup maida ( all purpose flour)

  • 1 cup yogurt

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • Yellow food color 1/2 tsp

  • Oil or ghee for frying 500ml

  • Sugar 1 1/2 cup sugar

  • Water 1 cup

  • Saffron optional

  • Lemon juice 1 tsp 

Directions

  • Preparation for batter
  • Mix maida, yogurt, water, food color, baking powder. Mix it well till the batter is flowing consistency.
  • Take one plastic bag pour batter in the bag and close it and cut one small point for pouring into Ghee or Oil.
  • For sugar syrup
  • Add sugar, water, and saffron in pan heat till sugar melts and stir well.
  • Jalebi making
  • With the help of plastic bag pour in hot Ghee or Oil in medium flame till it becomes crispy
  • After frying the Jalebi keep it in sugar syrup for few seconds and serve hot.
